Profile & Settings
Your profile page is the hub for managing your identity, gamification stats, and app preferences.
Profile Overview
Go to Profile to see your personal dashboard:
- Level Badge — Your current level and tier (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, or Master).
- XP Progress — A progress bar showing how close you are to the next level.
- Current Streak — Your consecutive-day transaction streak.
- Total Stats — Lifetime transactions, total XP earned, and days active.
Profile Tabs
Overview
Your gamification snapshot: level, XP, streak, and key stats at a glance.
Achievements
A grid showing all available achievements — locked and unlocked. Each shows your progress (e.g., "45/100 transactions"). Tap any achievement to see the full description and unlock requirements.
History
A detailed audit trail of your recent XP earnings. See exactly what actions earned you points, when, and any multipliers that were applied.
Settings
Your account and preferences:
Nickname
Set a nickname for leaderboard display. This protects your privacy — only your nickname appears on global rankings. Note: nicknames have a 30-day change cooldown to prevent abuse.
Leaderboard Privacy
Toggle your visibility on global leaderboards. When turned off, you won't appear on any global ranking. Household leaderboards are always visible to household members.
Password
Change your account password (for email/password accounts).
Household Management
View your households and manage membership.
Notification Preferences
Wambai can send push notifications to keep you informed. Configure what you receive:

Quiet Hours
Don't want notifications while you sleep? Set quiet hours:
- Enable/disable quiet hours.
- Start time — When notifications stop (e.g., 10:00 PM).
- End time — When notifications resume (e.g., 7:00 AM).
Appearance
Theme
Choose your preferred visual mode:
- Light — Bright backgrounds, dark text.
- Dark — Dark backgrounds, light text. Easy on the eyes.
- System — Automatically matches your device's theme setting.
Access the theme toggle from the top-right corner of any page.
Language
Wambai is available in:
- English
- Spanish
Switch languages from the top-right corner. The interface updates immediately.
Household Settings
As a household Owner, you can manage:
- Household Name — Update the display name.
- Members — Invite new members, change roles (Owner/Editor/Viewer), or remove members.
- Subscription — Manage the plan for the entire household.
Tips
- Set a fun nickname — It makes leaderboards more enjoyable.
- Enable financial reminders — Never miss a pending payment.
- Use quiet hours — Keep notifications helpful, not annoying.
- Try dark mode — Many users find it easier for evening finance tracking.
