Wambai offers three plans: Free, Standard, and Premium. All three give you access to the core finance management tools — paid plans unlock higher limits and advanced features.

How Subscriptions Work
Subscriptions are managed at the household level, not per user. Here's how it works:
- The household Owner subscribes to a plan.
- All household members get access to the plan's features.
- One subscription covers the entire household.
This means a family of four only needs one subscription. The Owner manages the billing, and everyone benefits.
Upgrading Your Plan
- Go to Subscription from your profile or settings.
- Choose Standard or Premium.
- Select Monthly or Yearly billing.
- Complete the checkout through Paddle (our secure payment processor).
- Your plan activates immediately.
Payment Methods
Paddle accepts all major credit/debit cards and PayPal.
Managing Your Subscription
From the Subscription page, you can:
- View your current plan and billing period.
- Switch plans (upgrade to Premium or downgrade to Standard).
- Switch billing interval (monthly to yearly or vice versa).
- Cancel your subscription — You'll keep your current plan access until the end of the billing period.
- View billing history and receipts.
What Happens When You Downgrade
If you cancel your subscription or switch to a lower plan:
- Your data is never deleted. Everything you've recorded stays safe.
- Features revert to the limits of your new plan.
- If you exceed the new plan's limits (e.g., more than 3 budgets on Free), existing items remain but you can't create new ones until you're under the limit.
- AI chat messages revert to the new plan's monthly allowance.
- Features not included in the new plan (like OCR or export) become unavailable.
You can upgrade again at any time to restore full access.
Promotions and Coupons
Wambai occasionally offers promotional discounts:
- Referral codes — Earn discounts by inviting friends.
- Campaign promotions — Seasonal offers and special deals.
- Coupon codes — Enter a code during checkout for a discount.
