Transaction History

The Transaction History page shows all your recorded documents — expenses, income, transfers, credit payments, and more. It's your complete financial audit trail.

Accessing Transaction History

Go to Documents from the main navigation to see all your transactions.

What You'll See

Each transaction shows:

  • Date — When the transaction occurred.
  • Description — What the transaction was for.
  • Type — Expense, Income, Transfer, Credit Payment, etc.
  • Amount — The total amount and currency.
  • Status — Created (draft) or Accounting (finalized).
  • Person — Who was involved (if assigned).

Viewing Transaction Details

Tap any transaction to see the full details, including:

  • All journal entry line items (debits and credits).
  • The accounts involved.
  • Any linked recurring rule or credit.
  • Timestamps for creation and finalization.

Document Status

  • Created — A draft that can still be edited. Useful for transactions you want to review before finalizing.
  • Accounting — The official record. Locked and immutable. This is what counts toward budgets, reports, and balances.
  • Deleted — Soft-deleted for audit purposes but no longer active in calculations.

Tips

  • Finalize regularly — Draft documents don't count toward budgets or reports. Make a habit of finalizing transactions.
  • Use Quick Entry for speed — Quick Entry auto-finalizes, saving you the extra step.
  • Review weekly — Spend a few minutes each week reviewing recent transactions. It helps catch errors and builds your financial awareness streak.
